Early this morning, Microsoft announced two new Nokia Lumia phones: the “affordable flagship” Nokia Lumia 830 and the entry-level Lumia 730/735.

The former is a 5-inch device that will cost about $430 off-contract. It offers a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and wireless charging, but the real star of the show is the 10-megapixel PureView camera—a first at this kind of price point.

The Lumia 730 has been referred to as Microsoft’s “selfie phone,” and it delivers.

The €199 (~$260) Lumia 730 has been referred to as Microsoft’s “selfie phone,” and it delivers. It’s got a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a wide angle of view, and comes equipped with a special “Lumia Selfie” app to get the perfect Facebook shots. The Lumia 735 tacks on 4G connectivity for an extra €20 (about $30).

Along with the new phones, Microsoft also announced updated camera software for all Windows Phone 8.1 devices as part of the “Denim” update.
